American Eastlake Walnut, Burled Walnut Buffet, circa 1900

About the Item

Mirrored burled walnut panels adorn this handsome American buffet in the Eastlake Victorian style. Two drawers, one compartmentalized, and a lower cabinet with one shelf, offer storage. The counter top is white marble. The eye is drawn up the striking, tall back, to the geometric pediment crowning the top. The back has a small mirror and one scalloped shelf. No key included.

  • Condition:
    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. The underside of the shelf has one area of candle burn, the marble has some discoloration and a chip on the lower left side. We purchased this item from the family of the original owner, and they claims the marble is original to the item.
