Original Painted Pine Swedish Wedding Cabinet, circa 1820-40

About the Item

Original painted Swedish wedding cabinet from the early 1800's with floral bouquet on each door. Note the traditional curved and carved upper bonnet, two cabinet doors over three lower drawers, four interior shelves and upper spoon rack. Layers of original paint have been gently distressed/worn off leaving an overall impression of blue/gray with brick red and white undertones/accents. In many areas the paint has worn off completely to reveal the natural pine below. Key and lock function in main cabinet door. Lower 2 drawers use key as pull only, bottom drawer opens with two brass pulls. Restored, this large pine cupboard is strong/stable. All cracks, stains, scratches or separations in panels are all commensurate with age and do not impact the function of this wedding cabinet with aged patina reflecting many generations of use. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition and details; in particular the various layers of paint and wood finish. Photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting may all impact how item is viewed.
