Atop a slope front bureau writing section with three stepped drawers on either side of a cubby section and a center door. Atop of chest of three drawers. Beautiful orange red paint on interior of bureau. Original hardware. Tortoiseshell faux paint ground with gilded Japanned Chinoiserie painted scenes. Some chips and losses to lacquer. Damage to top left back corner of chest section (as shown in photo). Overall good structural condition. Condition is consistent with age and use.
