About the Item
Elegant original french Art Deco Sideboard from around 1930 in excellently restored condition.
Beautiful Macassar ebony cross-veneered and lacquered. Base and cornice lacquered in a perfect high-gloss black.
Lovely original nickel-plated fittings with glass rods and decorative panels underneath. Polished stainless steel trim around the base. The original marble top is surrounded by nickel-plated metal strips and has a beautiful grain.
At the top center there is a curved drawer in bird's eye maple and oak as well as macassar veneer on the top edge. The two doors on the inside are veneered in bird's eye maple and high-gloss lacquered.
In the middle there is a display case or bar compartment behind a door with metal frame and original facet-cut glass. Mirrored at the bottom and back, inside on the sides in maple, the compartment has one glass shelf.
High-quality restored condition with amazing piano lacquer finish.
Thanks to its balanced proportions, the beautifully grained Macassar ebony veneer and the high-quality workmanship, this sideboard is an exceptional piece of French Art Deco furniture and in this excellently restored condition a true One-of-a-kind item.
