19th century Louis XV style elegant French Trumeau wall panel with original glass plate and period 18th century French oil painting. The Trumeau, of symmetrical, rectangular shape has giltwood molding frames on a beige painted panel. The painting in the upper center is of 18th century Rococo origin. It pictures a sweet scene of children playing a popular 18th century Christmas game called, “Hot Cockles”.
This Trumeau is a perfect fit for a space between the windows or above a mantelpiece or console table.
