Krementz Art Deco Reverse Carved Rock Crystal Diamond Link Bracelet

About the Item

This gorgeous rock quartz crystal bracelet was made by Krementz during the Art Deco (ca1920) era! The 14kt white gold setting is topped in platinum, and displays a row of rock quartz crystal links. Delicate accent diamonds are set at the center of each crystal plaque, adding a beautiful sparkle! Surrounding each plaque is an open bezel frame, which is etched with fine engraved and milgrain detail. The rock quartz crystal has a hand-carved design on the back, which shows through to the front as a beautiful starburst motif. Completing the design are connector links, which boast a beautiful filigree cutout pattern. The bracelet clasps with an etched filigree lobster clasp at the end, which is stamped "14K" beside the authentic Krementz hallmark symbol. A stunning bracelet by a well-respected maker, it would look breathtaking worn day or night! The bracelet measures approximately 7 1/2" long, and would fit best on a average sized wrist. Each rock quartz crystal link measures approximately 1/2" tall and 3/8" wide.

  • Art Deco Reverse Carved Rock Crystal Equestrian Motif Multi Charm Bracelet
    Located in Narberth, PA
Reverse carved crystal was a technique created by cutting pieces of rock quartz crystal into a convex form and then polishing it into a cabochon shape. An image is carved into the flat side of the crystal and then hand painted. From the front, the image appears to be almost three dimensional. Many different images were used in reverse carved crystal jewelry and artwork, but animals were some of the most common motifs. A magnificent gemstone and reverse carved crystal charm bracelet from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This incredible platinum piece features a wonderful compilation of 6 equestrian themed charms which dangle from a fine interlocking chain link bracelet. Each charm is unique and all are detailed with sparkling Single Cut diamonds throughout. The gorgeous charms include miniature versions of a horseshoe, two riding crops, a hunting horn, a medal with ribbons, and the image of a horse carriage a man and woman seen from the back window. Both riding crops and the hunting horn charms are each adorned with a delicate Essex crystal cabochon, which rests on a Mother of Pearl background and is bezel set within a round frame. The matching reverse carved images are incredibly artistic, depicting the face of a charming red fox with delicate hand-painted detail portraying expressive facial features, pointed ears, and vibrant fur. The medal charm features a similar Essex carved crystal cabochon adorned with a painted profile of a horse head featuring rich brown hair with a bridle and bit. The beautiful "ribbons" below are each decorated with calibrated sapphire stones, adding a wonderful pop of rich blue color to the design. Finally, the romantic charm of a loving couple in the carriage window features two ruby "lamps" on either side of the carriage and the man's top hat adorns rich black enameling. The fine chain bracelet is comprised of delicate rectangular shaped links that interlock together and fastens at a spring ring clasp stamped with an "IRID PLAT" purity mark. Truly a one of a kind piece, this beautiful equestrian inspired bracelet would make a fantastic addition to any collection! The bracelet measures approximately 7" in length. The charms vary in size with the largest one being one of the riding crops, which measures about 3/4" long (including the bail at the top) and about 1/2" wide. The smallest charm is the carriage and it measures approximately 5/8" long, including the bail at the top, and slightly less than 1/2" wide. The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. All of the gemstones and crystal cabochons are intact and securely set and the enamel is free of chips or scratches. The Essex crystal cabochons display some scratches on the surface and the painted images, especially on the fox charms...
