Enamel and synthetic spinel brooch, 'Place Vendôme', Mauboussin, circa 1951 Designed as a wall-mounted lantern set with calibré-cut sections of synthetic blue spinel, with a street sign reading 'Place Vendôme' in blue and white enamel, signed Mauboussin, numbered, French assay marks and maker's marks in ready to wear condition size is approximately 1 ½ inch long LITERATURE Cf.: Marguerite de Cerval, Mauboussin, Editions du Regard, Paris, 1992, pg.189, for an illustration of a brooch of identical design. Due to the item's age do not expect items to be in perfect condition and I may not describe every little scratch or spot. Please inquire if you have any doubts.     Beautiful French jewelry designer Henry Perichon (also known as Henry) extra long gilt bronze pin brooch.
