Study of Tigers is a beautiful pencil original drawing on ivory-colored paper, realized in XX century by the German artist Wilhelm Lorenz, best know as Willi Lorenz. Signed in pencil on lower right margin.
This is a preparatory study representing tigers in different poses and attitudes, realized with a fat pencil and with the incredible freshness of line. This modern artwork is in very good conditions, except for the little damaged lower right corner of the sheet and some minor defects ( little folds or abrasions of the paper on the edges).
This is a really perfect decor for your sophisticated home able to give your furniture a touch of wildness and exotism.
Wilhelm (Willi) Lorenz (German, 1901–1981)
Wilhelm Lorenz that signed Willi Lorenz, was a German painter specialized in paintings of animals typically hunted as game. His highly detailed oil paintings evoke the texture and movement of animals like boars, foxes, bisons or lions depicted in their natural habitats and attitudes. His artworks bears resemblance and similarity to the works of Max Josef Hänger Lorenz attended the Düsseldorf Academy of Art before moving to Cologne to establish his career.

Wilhelm Lorenz
Wilhelm Lorenz, also known as Willi Lorenz, was a German painter who specialized in paintings of animals typically hunted as a game. His highly detailed oil paintings evoke the texture and movement of animals like boars, foxes, buffalos and lions, depicted in their natural habitats and attitudes. His artwork resembled the work of Max Josef Hänger Lorenz. Lorenz attended the Düsseldorf Academy of Art before moving to Cologne to start his artistic career.
