Fine Small 19th Century Gilt Picture Frame in Mahogany Box - Rococo Style

An ornate 19th century gilt case picture frame, complete with original mount and floral and acanthus rococo mouldings. Elegantly lined with brown velvet. Measurements for the frame are:Inner window: 16.5cm x 11.5cm, Outer frame size: 29 cm x 23.5cm, Rebate: 20.5cm x 16.5cm.

    Visible signs of restoration to the water gilded mount. The floral and acanthus mouldings have been glued and repainted in gilt. A strip of the frame's veneer case has been lost to the lower rail.
