Translating to "The Lay of the Lance" this vibrant and brutal series of four lithographs accompanied by fragments of Viking poems, translated into French. They tell the story of a king preparing for battle, as his attendants try to weave him strong enough garments and weld sharp enough lances to save him from death and the arms of the valkyries.
