Lindsay Payton Art

Lindsay Peyton is originally from Houston. She spent her early years in rural Texas towns as well as in Pennsylvania. Clay, crayons, pencils and paints were a constant presence in her early childhood and in high school, Peyton took an oil painting class. She then tried darkroom photography. She is very influenced by Van Gogh and Monet. She also counts among her inspirations the light and colors of Mexico and western states of the U.S. Peyton currently works as the principal of Cadence Enterprise, a creative firm specializing in public relations and artist consultation services. She continues to exhibit regularly and participate in juried shows, including a 2013 residency in Kentucky as well as an autumn show at Winter Street Studios Gallery in Houston, a 2015 residency at the Art Farm Nebraska, a solo show at the Jung Center of Houston in 2016 and a summer residency in 2016 at artEAST in Issaquah. Her art has been on display in recent years in Houston’s most popular art venues, including Spring Street Studios, Betz Art Gallery, Canal Street Gallery and M2 Gallery.
