Lucille H. Olpin Art
Lucille H. Olpin was born on August 4, 1909 in Salt Lake City, to Isaac Reese and Ethel Wilkinson Harman. In 1935, she married Ralph Smith Olpin in Stanford, California. She graduated from American Fork High School. Lucille attended the University of Utah, Brigham Young University and LDS College of Nursing. As R.N., she worked in California and in Utah as a nursing supervisor at LDS Hospital. She was a member of the Society of Western Artists. Lucille was a fine portraitist, landscapist and seascapist, working in oils and pastels. Her creations were displayed extensively in exhibitions throughout her lifetime in the West. Earlier she had studied with Thomas Leighton in San Francisco. Lucille had supervised landscaping for ward and stake projects in Palo Alto, California.
