Summer Wasdale and Sun on the Scafells is a diptych of limited edition prints by Mark Pearce. At school Mark spent most of his time in the art department. He then went on to do a one year foundation course at Carlisle College of Art. It was here that he learnt the art of printmaking and then continued my studies at the Norwich School of Art doing a degree in graphic design. Keen to move to London I found his first job as a graphic designer with John Nash and Friends and his second with Michael Peters and Partners. he went on to win a D&AD (Design and Art Directors Club of Great Britain) silver award for the very first greeting stamps issued by the Royal Mail. By Peter Sculthorpe

HEARTLAND is an original hand drawn, limited edition lithograph by Peter Sculthorpe (b.1948 Ontario, Canada) printed using hand lithography techniques on archival Arches paper, 100% acid free. Dark grey snowy skies set the scene in HEARTLAND with its finely detailed drawing depicting a rural winter landscape in Bucks County, Pennsylvania featuring historic stone farm houses, a weathered wood barn, wood spoke wheeled wagon, cows and bare trees standing in the snowy landscape. Painterly washes, subtle tones of greys, browns, black, yellow, light red. Peter Sculthorpe's paintings are well known for their true to life depictions of rural stone barns, color changing shadowy skies, snow covered landscapes, cows, horses, lone figures that capture the countryside and stone architecture of the Brandywine Valley in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Trained at the prestigious Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Peter Sculthorpe’s painting style is detailed and precise, his masterful use of watercolor as choice medium gives his paintings a remarkable, natural feeling.
