In addition, I have had great help from Marten to prepare me well for my own entrance exam for the Classical Academy in Groningen.
On a Friday evening, after the classes at the Academy, I arranged a meeting with Marten at Bedum. Driving through the province of Groningen always has something of a vacation, after all everything is different than in Brabant.
It's nice to hear how Marten's experiences were during and after his study at the Classical Academy. He has quickly become successful, his style, craftsmanship and choice of subject appeals to many people. Yet Marten, he says, does not want to repeat himself.
