Japanese designer Nendo, revisits the shape of the Classic abat-jour by renewing both its materials and its function. The archetypal shape of the cylindrical lampshade is transformed by using metal while its function as a diffuser is combined with that of a ‘switch’, hence its name. In fact, the lamp is switched on and off by turning the sheet metal lampshade, inextricably blending shape and function, aesthetics and functionality.

The Ilo range, designed by David Lopez Quincoces, has three variations: suspension lamp, rise and fall suspension lamp and wall light. All the models share the same elegant, slender design of the aluminium bar housing the light source, expertly crafted with precision mechanics. The Ilo wall lamp, keeping the same size as the rise and fall version, is mounted on the wall via a square plate, whose pivot allows movement in any direction, offering a variety of aesthetic and practical lighting options, as the fixture itself also rotates 90°.

The G.O. lamp is the revival edition of a model designed for Oluce by Giuseppe Ostuni in the 1960s.
A lamp that, in the essence of its design, is extremely current, characterised by a vertical shaft from which a horizontal arm branches off and on which the lampshade is mounted. The arm, thanks to the system of joints, is therefore a sliding element that can be repositioned and oriented depending on specific needs.
A family which maintains the style of the original design, like the use of the cylindrical lampshade and the contrast between the materials with which the various elements are made. The revival edition is enhanced by precious details in satin gold, which stand out in contrast with the black nickel – of the arm – and the colours of the base and the lampshade, these last two available in three different colours: black, scarlet, and anodic bronze.
