C.1980 Emanuel Ungaro royal blue silk shift dress with coordinating cropped quilted jacket with a celestial style silvery gray print. The dress has a pullover construction with hidden snaps at the front panel which is also decorated with rows of mother-of-pearl buttons. The sleeves are gently pleated at the shoulders and drop to stylized cuffs adorned with additional mother-of-pearl buttons. A simple tie belt can cinch the waist or the silhouette can be worn casual and loose. Side pockets are a nice bonus to the dress design which also includes rows of flat pleats at the front and back. The quilted jacket has a cozy feel and a fun print that is reminiscent of fireworks and a nighttime sky. The ensemble offers a professional look for day wear and can easily be dressed up with silver accessories for evening. CONDITION Good vintage condition with chips to a couple of pearl buttons as shown in photograph 14 and one missing button shown in photograph 15. SIZING & MEASUREMENTS Both pieces are marked a size 6 and might also fit a size 8 with attention to the following measurements. For visual reference, the mannequin in the photographs is a size 4.
