Antique Japanese Cloisonne Charger with Insects and Fall Foliage Plate Goto Scho

About the Item

A large antique Japanese Meiji period, 1868 to 1912, cloisonne enamel metal charger plate depicting a multicolored picture of vines and grapes with a grasshopper and other plant motifs on a greenish brown ground. The back side is adorned with a swirl wire work and polychrome enamel flowers, the center is covered with yellow enamel and features a blue chrysanthemum. Circa the late 19th century. Dimensions: D 12 in. All measurements are approximate. Condition Overall good vintage condition. Signs of age and wear. Refer to photos.
