Antique Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Scalloped Wisteria Plate

About the Item

An antique Japanese Meiji period enamel plate charger. The plate is amde in a floral design with scalloped rims. The plate is enameled with a polychrome image of blossoming flowers and trees surrounded by frame with floral, foliage and geometrical motifs made in the Cloisonne technique. The backside is adorned with a scaly motif made in the Cloisonne technique. Unmarked. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
