About the Item

The box is enameled with a polychrome image of a blossoming flower on the white ground made in the Ginbari Cloisonne technique. Unmarked. A kogo is used for holding incense and historically most often at the tea ceremony, the temple, or for the small worship area in the home. The kogo is also a wonderful item of character to decorate with, in addition to placing small items in, and around the house or office. They also make great collectors items, and gifts.
