Modern Japanese Art of flower arrangements book presented with Obi
A beautiful book covered in silk fabric and flecked gold rice paper inside.
There are twenty-three hand-painted Floral Arrangements commissioned by special artist to sketch each drawing. Book was published in 1950.
For each drawing, there is an explanation of history of the art and of different styles in detail. Please note five photos showing the beauty and quality.
I purchased this wonderful book in Boston and felt that it needed to be presented in a special way. In my travels, I came across this great Japanese Silk Maru Obi (sash), and it was the perfect match!
Silk Maru Obi dimensions : 218" long, Double-Sided, 12.5" wide
An Obi would be used at waist of Kimono and tied in special knot.
Book dimensions: 14" wide, 10" height, 1/2" thick
Can be packaged shipped in 17" by 17" by 6" box.
