Polished Bronze Sculptural Decorative Bowl by Simone Bodmer-Turner
About the Item
Sculptural, solid bronze bowl by artist and designer Simone Bodmer-Turner, entitled "Tadpole Bowl."
Fluid with movement, yet understated, this work was developed by the artist in close collaboration with a Massachusetts-based bronze foundry and blacksmith.
Undulating and gleaming, the piece is polished and waxed to finish. The rolling, asymmetrical form is ambiguously evocative of the oblong body of a tadpole, and would make an elegant addition to a coffee table, bookshelf, or serving as a vide poche atop a dresser or nightstand.
A harmonious blend of nature-inspired design and expert craftsmanship, each piece is sandcast from the original form hand-crafted by the artist, and will vary slightly across each unique cast.
