Sculpture for the wall of tire-shaped, bead wire, circa 1960s. Sold as a pair. Actually used at one time in tire manufacturing. An industrial component, these tire bead wires compose a willowy, ethereal sculpture, its litheness resonating in the shadows of circles thrown on the wall. Might also be strung with lighting to enhance the effect.
In design for an interior, this wall sculpture acts as a light, airy counterweight to heavier furnishings beneath. A rare industrial find.
