Delft Polychrome majolica dish with a village view The Netherlands, 1700-1750

About the Item

Polychrome dish with a village view. The Netherlands, 1700-1750 The dish has a spreading, slightly raised rim and is painted in blue, purple, yellow and green with a simplified village view of two towers with houses and trees in a double circle. The flange features eight arch segments, each filled with a scroll. The arch segments together form an octagon. Three stilt marks, which are characteristic for majolica, are visible in the centre. Dimensions: diameter 30,5 cm / 12.0 in. Condition: very good condition considering age. Typical rim chips.
