Rare Silver Fish Corkscrew

About the Item

This wonderful novelty corkscrew is in the form of a fish which is made of solid sterling silver. Fine casting shows the scales and details of the fish with the body in movement and it has red jewelled eyes. It has a wonderful weight in the hand, at 50 g including the steel screw, and sits very comfortably for pulling a cork. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1936, with the maker being Robertson & Co. of Shrewsbury, England, this is a highly collectible item.
