About the Item

Since 1956 he has worked in Milan, which includes architectural design, interior and industrial design, theatrical scenography. In the field of design she is the author of some of the most famous objects of the golden age of Italian design, including the rocking chair Sgarsul for Poltronova (1962), the chair Tripolina for Zanotta (1973), the lamps Patroclo and Alcinoo for Artemide (1975), the lampvase Giova (1964) and the Parola and Nina lamps (with Piero Castiglioni, 1980 and 1981) for Fontana Arte, the Cestello lighting system (with Piero Castiglioni, 1994) for iGuzzini Illuminazione, the Pipistrello and La Ruspa table lamps - the latter together with Giova, and Patroclo per Romanelli are Absolute masterpieces in which Gae controls volumes with incredible force and proposes "anti-pretty" solutions, for Martinelli Luce (1965 and 1968).
