Angelo Mangiarotti for Poltronova 'Multiuse' Cabinet in Wood and Aluminium

About the Item

Angelo Mangiarotti for Poltronova, wall unit from 'Multiuse Series', mahogany, aluminum, Italy, 1965 Beautiful bookcase or cabinet part of the 'Multiuse Series' that Mangiarotti designed for Poltronova in 1965. Known for his designs with marble, Mangiarotti focussed here on different aesthetics. The 'Multiuse Series' stands for versatile pieces of furniture that can be adjusted to the individual needs of the user. This cabinet features a composition solely build up from horizontal and vertical lines that create an almost Japanese-like aesthetics. In between four horizontal shelves made from aluminium, are wooden compartments with sliding doors. The sliding doors are made from glass and exotic wood, which is a striking combination with the light aluminum. The panels can be placed to the owner's liking per example all the way to the end of the shelf. An exquisite and versatile piece of furniture that is both aesthetically pleasing and convincing in use. Not only the highboard may be used as storage space but also the long aluminium shelves provide a stage for decorative objects. Please note that this item is in good, used condition with visible signs of age and use, including scratches and imperfections in the veneer. For further details, we encourage you to reach out to our team of design specialists. The mahogany type of this piece does not require an export license.
