Lightly Restored, Paul Evans Style, Lane Brutalist, Staccato or Mosaic Dresser

About the Item

This dresser was designed in the brutalist style made iconic by Paul Evans, and manufactured by Lane USA, circa 1970s. Made with varied blocks of oak attached to the front, it lends an imposing and dramatic look while retaining the rich color and warmth of the oak. The dresser sports 9 expansive dovetail construction drawers, with metal rails, and is very sturdy and heavy. All drawers work smoothly and effectively, and the front provides a sense of depth absent of many other dressers or cabinets of the MCM era. The condition is very good. The tops and sides have been expertly stripped, sanded, stained, lacquered and burnished, to achieve the perfect warm time capsule vintage look. The drawer fronts have minor blemishes that are next to invisible. Please note that I have installed high quality rubber castors to the dresser easier to use and move around a room. These are photos of a previously sold identical dresser. The grain is slightly different, but the colors and condition are consistent.
