Mid-Century Flip-Top Executive Desk by Peter Løvig Nielsen

About the Item

Mid-century Danish teak executive desk with flip-top mechanism. Designed by Peter Løvig Nielsen circa 1970s. This iconic desk has become well known within the world of mid-century design and for good reason. The useable surface area atop the desk is unmatched. The top shelf has brass hinges that allow the top to be flipped. This function is extremely useful if you are looking to expand your working room or create a two-person co-working desk. There are four drawers that run horizontal along the front. Each drawer has circular cutouts and sculptured teak drawer pulls that exemplify wonderful craftsmanship. The top shelf also has four open cubbies for further storage or display options. The desk sits atop tall teak squared legs with a middle crossbar. The legs allow the top to visually float while permitting ample leg room and accompany a variety of desk chairs. Gorgeous teak wood grain runs throughout every inch of this desk. In overall good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. Original maker’s mark found underneath the desk. Dimensions Without Flip-Top: 64” W x 27.75” D x 34” H Dimensions Expanded with Flip-Top: 64” W x 38” D x 29” H
