Alan Ian Ronald Art
Scottish, 1899-1967
Alan Ian Ronald was born in Edinburgh on June 6th in 1899 and died at Dunfermline in 1967. He used to paint in oil and watercolor; harbors, quaysides and country scenes. Ronald was trained at the Edinburgh School of Art. He worked on the East coast in Scotland and in Germany in a powerful, effective style. He lived for a time in Edinburgh before settling in Charlestown, Fife. Ronald was elected to the Royal Watercolour Society in 1935.
