A fine still life collaboration by Russian American artists Evgeny & Lydia Baranov (b. 1961/1964). Both Evgeny & Lydia were born in Moscow, Russia, and each received their master’s degrees in Architecture from Moscow Architectural Institute, and worked together at the Institute of Special Projects in Restoration, Moscow. Lydia was chosen to participate in the first USSR/USA ICOMOS Exchange Program for Young Professionals in Architectural Preservation, which brought her and Evgeny to Alaska to work with the National Park Service, Alaska Regional Office, on the Russian Orthodox Churches in Alaska Survey Project, 1989. They were married in 1990 and have collaborated in joint art endeavors since 1992.Their realist art, portraiture, genre, landscape, and still life works have appeared in many publications, such as Art of the West, The Artist's Magazine, and Southwest Art. Their paintings are included in many public and private collections including those The Royal Family of the United Kingdom, the Hearst Family, the Clint Eastwood Family, and the Russian Patriarchy, among others treasure the Baranov's unique works.
