Synthia Saint James Art
Synthia Saint James is a self-taught, world-renowned multicultural visual artist and an award-winning author/illustrator. She has worked on 17 children’s books, and art marketing book, three poetry books, a book of affirmations and a cookbook. She is also an architectural designer. She is most celebrated for designing the first Kwanzaa Stamp in 1997, and 2016 Forever Kwanzaa Stamp for the United States Postal Service, for which she received a History Maker Award. She designed the international cover art for Terry McMillan’s book Waiting to Exhale. Saint James' art also graces the walls of over a dozen U.S. Embassies worldwide since 1992.
