Valery Sekret was born in 1950. He studied Fine Arts at the Moscow School of Art from 1967 to 1973. He has been a member of the Union of Russian Artists since 1982. Sekret’s paintings are in the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery, the Sergiev Posad History Museum (his hometown), the Serpukhov Art Museum, private collections and galleries in Spain, France, Russia and Britain. His paintings were very well received at Drouot, Paris.

Sekret was born in Russia and started his art studies at the age of ten. He was accepted into the most prestigious art institute in the Soviet Union, the Sourikov Institute, where he studied drawing from 1973 to 1979. Sekret started to exhibit his works with the Artists' Union in 1970. He later participated in numerous exhibitions including 'The Soviet Union' held in 1940, ' Young Artists of the Soviet Union' in 1981, and the 'Graphic Artists of the Soviet Union' in 1986, all held in Moscow.
He had his first one man show in the Art and Historical Museum of Zagorsk in 1990, participated in an exhibition entitled 'Russian Artists of Yesterday and Today' at the Hotel Drouot in Paris in 1993, as well as in 'Russian Painting of the XX Century' and 'Russian Masters...

Stuttgart; Munich; Studied art for three years at Munich, and later spent a year in Paris, where he studied under Benjamin Constant and Bougereau.
Career
From there he went to Rome, where he also took up sculpture. Settling down in Munich he became a member of the Ktinster Genossenschaft and Luitpoldgruppe. Paid frequent visits to Italy, Spain, and the Tyrol.
Has lived in England since 1901. Exhibits at Munich, Berlin, Salon at Paris, and Royal Academy. Figure and landscape painter.
