Nice cabinet from the X-line series by renowned designer Raymond Loewy for Dubinsky Frères, France 1968. A space age icon featuring plastic, which was groundbreaking for its time. The molded plastic drawers have gradient color pattern from black to a softer grayish/beige color. This combination provides a dynamic look to this design in combination with the flowing shaped drawers. Raymond Loewy is known as the father of American industrial design and is credited with inventing the American “streamline” aesthetic. Loewy’s creations are still well known today such as his collaborations with Lotus, Shell, Coca Cola and Nasa. Dimensions: W105 x D55 x H76cm Condition: Very good and original
