Large Raymond Loewy Inspired Yellow Chapter One Gentlemans Chest Armoire
By Ettore Sottsass, Raymond Loewy, Broyhill
Located in Chattanooga, TN
This model is nearly impossible to find. Moreover, yellow is the most sought after option. Combined with the fact that we've restored this piece to outstanding condition, we're certain you WILL NOT find a more sublime rendition. Well it’s 2024, and Broyhill’s Chapter One Collection is officially harder to find and more sought after than the Raymond Loewy orginals. With all due respect to Raymond Loewy, there really is something magical about the Chapter One line. Maybe they’re just more fun and approachable. Maybe it’s the proportions and practicality. Regardless, they’re one of our favourite collections of all time. The restoration team pulled no punches on this Chapter One Yellow Highboy Dresser, and the end result exceeded our expectations. Every inch of painted wood (including base) was professionally sanded primed and painted to match the original bright white. The laminate top and canary yellow molded plastic door / drawer fronts were finally buffed and polished to a glassy shine. Unlike the traditional Chapter One Highboy, this "Gentleman's Chest" version is step up in style and function. The open cabinet space on the left features a removable and adjustable height shelf, painted in gloss white of course. The right side has two hinged doors that open to reveal an additional (3) drawers. These also sport the signature white facades, and open / close with ease on the ball-bearing metal tracks. This dresser was built like a tank, but looks like a Lamborghini. It’s tough to see this one go, but we know it will be loved. Broyhill’s Chapter one collection borrowed from the plastic mold injection designs made famous by legendary designer Raymond Loewy. Like Loewy, these Chapter One Dressers employ the futuristic use of color and materials in a way that had not been seen before. The bright yellow plastic captures the playful spirit of the 1970s. The Gentleman's Chest Cabinet is supported by a lacquered plinth base with rounded corners. This colorful, curvaceous case-good could have blended in nicely on the set of 2001 A Space Odyssey. The space-age look has never been more desirable, which may help explain the recent scarcity of all things Chapter One. Chapter One Yellow Dresser...

Vintage 1970s Raymond Loewy Style Space Age Green Chapter One Highboy Dresser
By Raymond Loewy, Broyhill
Located in Chattanooga, TN
Vintage 1970s Space Age green and white Broyhill Chapter One highboy dresser. The 1970s era Chapter One collection was Broyhill’s playful re-imagining of Raymond Loewy’s work for French, brand DF200. Broyhill successfully made the Chapter One line more approachable for the American market. This tall stack of green drawers looks like LEGO come time life. Exciting, bold yet practical, these deep drawers can hold heaps of stuff. We have a matching low dresser and nightstand as well as several yellow Chapter One pieces. Inquire if you are interested in buying any of the other pieces and need group pricing. The restoration team pulled no punches on this Chapter One green highboy dresser, and the end result exceeded our expectations. Every inch of painted wood (including base) was professionally sanded primed and painted to match the original bright white. The laminate top and canary green molded plastic drawer fronts were finally buffed and polished to a glassy shine. 39.5” Wide x 18” Deep x 43.75” High Broyhill’s Chapter one collection borrowed from the plastic mold injection designs made famous by legendary designer Raymond Loewy. Like Loewy, these Chapter One Dressers employ the futuristic use of color and materials in a way that had not been seen before. The bright yellow plastic captures the playful spirit of the 1970s. Raymond Loewy DF-2000 Rosewood Chrome Red Plastic Drawer TV Stereo Console
By Raymond Loewy
Located in Chattanooga, TN
Proudly display your turntable and receiver on this compact console. Mount your flat-screen TV above to complete your setup. The restoration team pulled no punches on this authentic Raymond Loewy DF-2000 mini-credenza console, and the end result exceeded our expectations. We re-finished the rosewood on both front and back to accentuate the contrast between all of the diverse materials that make up this unit. As you can see, this console is fully finished in rosewood on the back and attractive from every direction. The bottom spanner was re-painted white and the cherry red, injection molded plastic drawer fronts were finally buffed and polished to a glassy shine. The top section drawer cabinet is separate from the base, and can be lifted off and screwed in place if desired. The bottom is a rosewood platform with polished chrome legs attached underneath. No need to worry about water marks and scratches with this top. The industrial strength laminate is ideal for TV and stereo components...
