Raymond Loewy for Mengel Chest of Drawers and Nightstand, Black with Glass Top

About the Item

Set of dresser and nightstand designed by Raymond Loewy for Mengel Furniture. Each piece features clean modernist lines that were designed well before their time. Solid aluminum hardware. The set has been painted black. Comprised of hard wood underneath it. Each piece has a custom cut piece of black glass to top it. The pieces have the same depth and height so seamlessly can be used together to create one longer dresser. Please read the dimensions for each piece Dresser: 44” long 19” deep 32” high Nightstand: 16” long 19” deep 32” high Or put them together for a 60” long 19” deep and 32” high unit Each drawer moves and performs as expected. Pieces are in vintage condition and show signs of wear.

    Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Pieces are in good vintage condition. They have been painted black. Some signs of wear to the paint from use and some instances of paint drip. Glass has some scratching and one chip on top. Solid wood construction if looking to have refinished.
