Please message with your request. This would still be Edition 1/8 Dicky’s images have enthralled many and have given him a following worldwide. Institutions and individuals alike seek out his knowledge on wildlife and habitats. He has lent his expertise to BBC, National Geographic and many very well-known wildlife photographers. Aditya Dicky Singh has been photographing in and around Ranthambhore National Park in India for over 20 years. His is an active member of a small band of experts proactively ensuring the health of the Tiger population in the Park and at the same time the survival of the smaller communities whose livelihoods depend on the same land. Through his lens he has documented generations of families of Tigers, learning behaviours and understanding their role in the wider context of the Forest. His knowledge is vast, not only of big cats but the other flora and fauna that co-exist in this special place. In photographs taken with an infrared lens, nothing is quite as it seems. Dark palm leaves become pale white, clouds become black and a leopards spots are reversed. Photographing in the often harsh, natural sunlight of India led wildlife photographer Aditya Dicky Singh to seek out different tools and methods of photographing at different times of day. When the light is at its most bright and highest point, mid-day it is impossible to photograph and this is when he was getting some of his best sightings. It’s been an interesting learning curve but the fruits of this labour can now be enjoyed in Dicky’s remarkable set of Infrared photographs showing intimate portraits of both Indian and African wildlife and scenery. Dicky explains that in this image was taken after they had been in Ranthambhore Forest for most of the day. The wind got up and they could feel a storm coming. This photograph was taken in a specific part of the forest that has an area of Dhonk Trees. The image was clicked the shot as they were leaving at speed to beat the storm., he just happened to have his infrared lens on the camera at the time. The use of infrared increases the potency of the natural world and this image beautifully captures time and nature, reminding us that things can change quickly, that nothing in the natural world is to be taken for granted. If you wish to have the print framed close to the edge of the image we recommend asking for Dicky Singh to sign and Edition the print on the back. If you would like to see the signature and Edition number on the front, Dicky Singh will sign the work under the image in the margin.
