Robert Indiana
Four Seasons of Hope (Gold) - Indiana, HOPE, Four Seasons, vivid colors, gold

2012

About the Item

This portfolio by Robert Indiana is a late icon of Pop Art. Since the mid-1960's, he has been working with the word LOVE. Numerous artworks featuring these four letters are well-known, such as the prominent LOVE sculpture or the portfolio "The Book of Love". In 2008, Indiana invented the logical consequence of LOVE and introduced HOPE. He launched his first Hope artwork to support Barack Obama's first Presidental race, aiming to create something very supportive that reflected the essence of Obama's candidature. To bring this on point, the word "HOPE" was the best. This time was definitively connected with hope for a new America. In 2012, Indiana edited a special edition for the legendary Four Seasons restaurant in New York City, where he exhibited the same-named paintings. Following this, the screenprint portfolios were printed. Portfolio of 4 screenprints in colors, Trial Proof TP 4/8. Mint condition.
