One of the best-known post–Abstract Expressionists and Minimalists, the American artist is a painter, sculptor and printmaker. He is most associated with pictorial images of flags and numbers and Pop art subjects that he depicts in a Minimalist style with an emphasis on linearity, repetition and symmetry.
