August Lenox Art

American, 1908-1986

August Lenox was born in North Dakota, USA. He soon moved to Texas and then to California where he worked for Walt Disney illustrations. As a young boy, he was fascinated by the adventures and lives of pirates. Lenox painted several scenes of them on canvases. In later periods of his life, Lenox primarily started painting western and Indian scenes.
