Dinner Service in Limoges Porcelain by Raynaud & Cie

About the Item

A fine dinner service in Limoges porcelain, dating from around the 1920s and made by renowned porcelain manufacturer Raynaud & Cie. Comprising an assortment of dinner and serving ware, there are 64 pieces in total, each featuring an exquisite polychrome decoration of tiny wildflowers tumbled around its outer edge, and enclosed within a delicate rim of gilt. Lids and handles are delightfully scrolled and embellished with gilt, and each piece is stamped on its base with the manufacturer's mark. In excellent antique condition, except for small chips on two of the soup bowls, the set comprises: 12 soup bowls (diameter 23.5cm) 30 dinner plates (diameter 24cm) 10 dessert plates (diameter 21.5cm) 1 sauce boat 1 salad bowl 2 vegetable tureens 2 round serving platters 3 oval platters 3 pedestal 'Coupe' bowls
