Ancient porcelain plates is an elegant plates set realized during the 19th century by Primavesi & Sons - Cardiff - Swansea & Newport England in circa 1860.
Antique ceramic plate with classic white / blue oriental-inspired decoration, called in England Old Willow Pattern. On the back of the plate there is the imprint of the brand under glaze, which traces back to the company F: PRIMAVESI & SONS - Cardiff - Swansea & Newport England , Ca.1860 The Old Willow pattern is a classic chinoiserie pattern elaborated and used in English bone china pottery.
It became popular at the end of the 18th century in England, when, in its original form, it was developed by British ceramic artists, who reconciled and "westernized" the traditional blue and white motifs imported from China.
Good conditions except for some lost of material of frame on the back.
