This beautiful suspension lamp features a hand-woven wicker globe shaped lampshade. It hangs from a chain with rattan links ended by a brass canopy. The chain could be shortened to adjust it to the desired height.
It will be gorgeous hanging over a kitchen's table or dining area but also placed in any room. This pendant will add a fresh Midcentury accent in a beach house, countryside house or urban appartment.

A rare set of two matching antique lanterns (pendant lamps). The lanterns have no maker's markings but most likely dates from the early 1900s. Their design is strongly inspired by the Arts and Crafts mouvement (1880-1920). The lanterns have been sourced in Northeastern France.
These antique lanterns are made to be suspended. The structure of the lanterns is made of metal, most likely a copper alloy. The inside is made of slightly amber colored/smokey glass that has been mouth blown into the wrought metal frame in one single piece. When lightened, the light does not only shine through the body of the lantern but also through the small, circular glass sections on the top and on the bottom of the lantern.
The lanterns are sold unwired. There is a hole on the top of each lantern for easy wiring, i.e. fit for a wire with a light socket. They can thus easily be adapted to any voltage (see photo). The lanterns are sold without lighting chains...

Mid-Century Large Moroccan Moorish Pierced Brass Hanging Lantern or Swag Light

This lantern is swag lamp is unsigned, but originated from Morocco and dates to approximately 1965 and done in the period Mid-Century Modern style. The lantern is composed of brass sheeting which has been shaped and pierced with geometric designs. The bottom cap removes with two screws to change the bulb, and the cord has a click switch on it. We do have the original brass toned chain so it can be converted to a swag light...
