A Very Rare Pair of 19th Century Bronze Barrelled Signal Cannons on Timber Base
About the Item
A very rare pair of 19th Century finely cast bronze barrelled signal cannons of exceptional quality with gorgeous detail and rich patination. This fabulous pair of cannons have tapering barrels, flared muzzles with the top of each breech surmounted with twin handles and engraved in relief with a decorative family crest of arms, a portrait in profile and beautiful foliate motif detail throughout. Supported on a finely hand carved, well figured timber carriage base with twin eight spoked wheels.
