Nico Van Lucas is the artistic pseudonym of the Milanese painter Luca Ghilardi, chosen to pay homage to his son Nicolò and to always feel close to him in this adventure in the world of art and life. Born in Milan in the 1960s and moved to Bergamo, Ghilardi's painting is full of strength and without second thoughts. It can be classified as action painting. Ghilardi has a pictorial style in which color is the protagonist, it is thrown and then modeled on the canvas. The resulting work emphasizes the physical act of painting itself, it is an unconceived, unplanned action in its ways and final effects.
