our annual celebration of 50 interior designers and architects working at the peak of their powers. This is our seventh year performing the challenging task of selecting from our talented design community just 50 elite members. And I must admit asking myself as we started out if “best of” compilations, “top” roundups and “favorite” lists still have any impact, given their ubiquity.

Now, having officially inducted our 2024 cohort, I can say with assurance that the answer is yes. Not only does the 1stDibs 50 allow us to pay tribute to a remarkable group of design luminaries, but it lets us shine light on our mission: “To enrich lives with the extraordinary.” That, to me, is among 1stDibs’ most resonant raisons d’être, and for nearly a quarter of a century, we’ve done just that, giving thousands of stellar sellers and marvelous makers a platform on which to share the world’s most beautiful things with the world’s most passionate audience of design lovers. That audience, of course, includes the exceptional creatives behind the 50 firms listed here. Better perhaps than anyone else, they have shown us just how enriching living with the extraordinary can be.
