About the Item

Artist Comments
Artist Guigen Zha paints a realistic still life of lotuses in different stages of development. He props them on Chinese ceramic vases against a background of two different shades of colors. In traditional Chinese belief, the lotus symbolizes cleanliness, purity, and restoration. "Time heals everything," says Guigen.
