About the Item

"Every Day" is a limited edition (31/100) fine art lithograph from Belgian surrealist artist René Magritte's work of the same name. It depicts in his typical surrealist style a mountain landscape with an outline of a face. Lithograph from his famous 1966 work on hand-made cotton paper, numbered lower left hand (31/100) and signed in the plate in lower right hand. Excellent condition. Certificate. René Francois Ghislain Magritte (1898 - 1967) was a Belgian painter and major figure of the surrealist movement. He focused his attention on ordinary objects, which he depicted outside their everyday contexts, creating an unexpected encounter for his audience. Through the surrealistic contextualization of his objects an object finds new meaning, depending on the surrounding the painter placed it. The painting "Every Day" is an illustration of Magritte's artist stance and vision.
