Etching by Spanish artist Salvador Dalí (1904-1989), one of the most controversial artists of the 20th century. Brilliant, innovative, grandiose and flamboyant, he is credited with the popularization of Surrealism. He frequently used mythic figures in his work, like this surreal depiction of the demi-god Narcissus who fell in love with his own reflection. This etching is from the original plate, drawn and signed by the artist in 1968.
