About the Item
This Sculpture is made by Dutch artist Jos de Wit.
It is unique and made of mahogany wood. The pedestal is made of mahogany and maple wood. In the not of the fish there is a piece of mother-of-pearl, just like he uses for building his string instruments.
The wood, and al other material he uses for his sculptures he also uses for building instruments. Violins, double bass, guitars, you all can find his own build instruments in his atelier. The way the sculpture is varnished gives the sculpture a beautiful skin tone that will stay like it is.
Artist Jos de Wit works and lives in Eindhoven, the city of Dutch Design. He draws his inspiration from everything in his environment, the fabric expression of objects, but also from bodies of people and animals.
