The brèche d'Alep marble top above a long frieze drawer, the hinged fall front with gilt-tooled brown leather writing-surface, the fitted interior with four open compartments and a long drawer, above two cupboard doors, the interior with one shelf, on spreading foliate feet, the gilt-bronze banding to the left side signed Millet à Paris.

Fashioned with dramatic dore' bronze appointments and fitted with a thick white marble top. The 4 drawer chest is generously scaled with outstanding classic bombe' form.

A delightful Louis XVI secretary, built in oak and polished mahogany veneer, it is topped with a grey Saint-Anne des Pyrénées marble. It is equipped with a high drawer, offering a beautiful storage space, just below, it reveals a flap, discovering a space of a sobriety characteristic of Louis XVI Secretaries.  It consists of a large niche under which are seven drawers, six of which are of identical capacity, all in mahogany veneer. The flap is covered with original Camel coloured leather. At the bottom, it is equipped with two doors, housing a new storage compartment. These three front doors are equipped with cut brass lock entries.  This numerical inferiority is compensated by the presence of two pearled brass pull handles on the top drawer. The fluted uprights of this piece of furniture end in four tapered legs with gilded alloy shoes for the front legs. The back is a magnificent work of wood veneer entirely of the period. Carved in southern France, circa 1760, the fold out secretary is both stylish and functional; the elegant writing desk crafted from solid walnut, stands on cabriole legs over a scalloped apron and dressed with bombe drawer across the front embellished with the original patinated bronze handles. The top folds down to reveal a large writing surface, a theater with four smaller drawers on the sides, and a double compartment niche in the center. When sliding out the drawers and niche, the cabinet reveals different secret storage compartments underneath (see pictures). Both sides with scalloped apron are decorated with recessed panels.
